Field Trip to Riley's Farm
This Wednesday, I went to Riley's Farm on a field trip. It was SOOO fun! First, we went on a hayride around the farm orchards. Since its winter here, there were no apples or leaves on the trees. The next thing we did was we fed goats. They were so cute! Some were tiny and some were big. Since goats are vegetarians, we fed them hay. After feeding the goats we made candles! We made the candles out of melted bee's wax. Did you know that in order to make a candle you have to dip it in wax 100 times? We did not get to do 100 dips, but we did like 10 or 15 dips. While we were making candles it started getting really windy and Riley's Farms has a lot of dirt, so wind started blow REALLY HARD and it got SOOOO dusty and everyone was like, "DUCK!" And then I looked up and there was so much dirt everywhere, it looked dark. Next, we helped clean this girl's house and it was teaching us how fun cleaning can be. Lastly, we went inside for story time, and she told us two stories, one about the farm and one about a magical lake. Would you like to go to Riley's Farm? I'm so glad I went!
